Ole ole ole ole ole oleeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Singapore escaped with a victory after winning the penalty shootout against Malaysia. Singapore was poor and only woke up briefly after going behind to Malaysia in the second half. The match again exposed Singapore's need for a pure playmaker who can dictate the game and make things happen in the middle of midfield. It also demonstrated yet again that our strikers are toothless when presented with decent chances in the opponent's box. We need to improve or be destroyed by Thailand in the final.
Scenes from today's match: Arrival at the National Stadium, East entrance, floodlights, crowd outside, familiar pillars, stairway, "No smoking" sign, field and grandstand in the background, wet blogger, warm-up, Singapore fans, match proper, score at the end of extra time and farewell sight.

I'm proud to have blooded 3 friends who have never watched the Lions live at the National Stadium before today. Darn... I damaged my vocal cords.
Clips from today's match: Kallang Wave, Celebration after our equalizer, missed header, celebrations after winning the penalty shootout and celebrations while heading home.
