Penalty!!!

I'm currently watching Rovers play Bolton at home. Blackburn was awarded 2 penalties... one in each half... it's surreal watching McCarthy convert both. Rovers usually get penalties given against them rather than for them so its a relief.

What have NBA execs been drinking?

I want to know what they put in the water over there. Its been a season of crazy blockbuster deals! The Celtics gave us what we thought would be the main course of the season but it just ended up being the appetizer. My fav team, the LA Lakers, managed to ditch Kwame Brown for Pau Gasol! Wow. He managed to outshine Kobe on his debut game which is never easy... I mean, come on!!! Kobe is the best player in the league when he is in the right mindset.
The Phoenix Suns get Shaq. This one was totally unexpected becoz Shaq is expired goods in my books. I mean he was the most dominant player in the league for awhile but he's not the same player now. However, the Suns are a small team so he may help them. I'm not sure.

Ignorance

It puzzles me when Americans assume that Singapore is a city in China... even in this day and age. Just had someone wish me and my family well... hoping that we are not too severely affected by the snow storms that have hit China. I told him that we are too far away from China to be affected by the cold snap because we are too close to the equator.
I even met a Brit who thought that we were still a British colony until I made him aware of our independence since the 60s.
