April Fool's joke?

This proposed building design seems like an April Fool's joke to me. Would you really build a convention centre that looks like the Death Star in Star Wars?

Old versus new

Contrasting architecture... old vs new.

I like both.

Morning glory

The clouds have been amazing the past week. Taken in the morning when arriving at work.

Football fans get screwed

Fans wanting to buy tickets for the upcoming European Championships 2008 get compromised as a result of hackers injecting malicious code into the ticketing website. You were warned!

Macbook Air pwn'd

Participant in a hacking competition compromises a Macbook Air laptop running the latest version of Mac OS X in less than a minute. He won US$10,000 and the laptop he compromised. Interesting to note was that the contest offered participants a chance to target laptops installed with fully patched Mac OS X, Windows Vista and Ubuntu Linux.
Some readers may think I have a personal agenda against Apple but that is not true as I myself own a Mac. I just want to highlight that Mac OS X just like any other OS is vulnerable to attacks.

Road to the World Cup 2010

Do I consider myself an avid Singapore football supporter? Guess my dedication is self evident from the fact that I traveled all the way to Jalan Besar Stadium to buy tickets to Singapore's match against Lebanon the week before the match.

Mission accomplished.

Match day. Entry via the National Stadium's East entrance and watched the players warm up before kick-off. You can sneak a peek at the Singapore Flyer within the stadium.

Goooooooooooooooooooooal. Won 2-0 but only a disappointing 10,000+ turned up*. The atmosphere was pretty muted with the small turnout. I blame the FAS for not putting in more effort in promoting the game. Did I mention that Jamie Yeo smiled at me? :p She was there to film a segment for "Nokia Football Crazy"... RH said that I am delusional.

* The National Stadium can house 60,000 fanatics.

Crazy

It took forever to patch my Macbook last nite... I blamed it on my wireless connection but it turns out that it wasn't the case. The fault lied in the security bundle released by Apple yesterday aimed at fixing 108 vulnerabilities in Mac OS X!!! That's crazy... even M$ doesn't fix so many flaws in a single patching window. Can you imagine downloading such a huge bundle using a 56Kbps connection? I'm using a 10Mbps subscription and I'm already complaining. Who still thinks Macs are more secure?
