Achtung!

There has been a flurry of exploits targeting software under the M$ Office suite. The most recently discovered flaw in Powerpoint allows hackers to execute malicious code on your PC.
"I'm too lazy" you say. All it takes for your PC to be compromised is viewing a malicous Word, Excel or Powerpoint doc online and you're screwed!
Please take the following actions:
1) Patch your M$ Office suite with all available security patches immediately
2) Alternatively, switch to OpenOffice to create your documents, spreadsheets and presentation slides

Its that time again

Time flies. I was reminded that its the Mid-Autumn festival already by the decorations in Chinatown. Very soon, it will be Hari Raya also and I will be heading to Nen's place for delicious food as well as snacks. Yummy! It was just like yesterday when I last visited her home on Hari Raya.

Pizzaaaaaaaaaaaaa

The south of France used to be occupied by the Romans and their influence can still be seen till this day. Food is one of those aspects and everywhere we went... there were pizza and pasta eateries. Check out this unique pizza "parlour" that I came across in Annecy. The freaking oven is inside the van for crying out loud. Insane!!!

The pizza was one of the most amazing pizzas that I have ever had. Magnifique!

Advanced?

Singapore prides itself in being modern and technologically up-to-date. This is evident in the technologies we readily embrace and the latest gadgets that Singaporeans grab once they are out in the market. I was thus surprised to find that France is ahead of us in terms of Wi-fi adoption. Everywhere I went, Wi-fi was available for surfing the net... even in trains!
I was suffering "cold turkey" whenever I saw someone surfing the net or passed by an Internet cafe throughout the trip. I wonder how I made it through 19 days without a PC.

Country living

Even with a view of Mont Blanc everyday, the residents of Chamonix still need their cable. Almost every single house we passed by had a satelite dish. Guess I'm not the only couch potato who can't live without his TV.

Vacation pics

Took 1000+ pictures during my trip... had a headache selecting pics to post here. This is a collage of places we visited.
London... bloody brilliant. Love it! View of the neighbourhood near my hotel... "Big Ben"... UK's Underground aka "The Tube"... Downing St... Westminster Abbey... April on the Millenium Bridge... Tower Bridge... the bright Picadilly Circus... Portobello Road where flea markets are located... bakery located along Portobello Road with a car in its shop window... Niketown where DJ Barca performed... Paddington station where Paddington Bear got his name.

France. Beautiful country but can't say the same about the people. Find them very rude and impatient but there were a few we met who were nice. Milk on the window sill... pondering life... arch... window gazing... Annecy... Mont Blanc with its own lake... Monaco... Medieval town... Justice building at night... chapel... Pont Du Gard, a glorious bridge built by the Romans... cafe that Van Gogh painted and thus made famous... Gargoyle on top of Notre Dame... stained glass within Notre Dame... Pantheon... The Lourve's famous pyramids... Arc De Triomphe... Napoleon's clothings... Gothic-style ceiling... Lourve again... crowd gathering around Van Gogh paintings... clock within Orsay Musuem... glittering Eiffel Tower... Mont Saint Michel, a floating medieval town at high tide... Arc De La Defense.

Random pics from the trip.
