Meaningless?

I find my life a bit meaningless... I eat, drink, work, s**t and sleep then I repeat it all over again the following day.

Convert

I'm a changed person since I visited BJ twice last year. I'm now fascinated by Chinese culture especially in China's history and art. I now try to find out more about China's past and I like visiting art galleries that sell Chinese contemporary as well as pop art.

Slipping

I find myself slowly slipping back into a depression the past few days. I'm scared because I don't want to go over the edge.
Will I ever be the same again?

Traveling

Traveling was an activity that I used to exclusively enjoy together with her. We have been to so many places ranging from New York, Niagara Falls, Toronto, Italy, England, Belgium, France, Perth and Beijing.
Now I can't even bear to look at travel photos we took or think of taking an overseas trip.

B.O.B.

Bicarbonate Ostylezene Benzoate aka B.O.B. is an indestructible gelatinous blob. It is brainless, always hungry and has a huge tummy. Hmmmm... reminds me of someone I know :p

The Kangxi Emperor exhibit

Waiting for the bus to the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM). Flaming hot weather again today.

Before the guided tour at ACM. Respected the no photography rule during the Kangxi tour so sorry no pics folks.

Leisurely stroll around Raffles Place during lunch.

Back at the ACM after lunch.

Mug shots of my hot Mocha.

Big pool?

There is a saying that women are like trees or fish... there are an abundance of them out there but that is not exactly true if you discount those who are already married, attached, SPGs, Lesbian, "Pork Chops" or plain insane in the brain. That leaves a very small number... its a bit disturbing.

Safari 4

Apple pushed down the upgrade to its Safari browser to its users yesterday. I installed the upgrade (ie. Safari 4) and gave the new version a whirl. I always use Safari in "Private Browsing" mode and it usually works pretty well. However, I had issues with Safari 4 yesterday. Even though I had "Private Browsing" enabled, it keep showing me as logged in to a specific Google account even though I had already logged out. Resetting the browser to empty the cache didn't work either as the same issue kept recurring. I had to personally navigate into the folder where the browser cache was stored to manually secure delete the cache file. Apple is stoopid sometimes.
Latest update: Apple sneakily included fixes for 51 vulnerabilities into the Safari update!

Motivation part II

B.O.B. has converted me from a vuln hunter to a slide churner and I don't like that. One Powerball and I'm outta here*.

Motivation

Lacking motivation to get started on my next article. Can someone please kick me?

Popped?

Popular bookshop's website was hacked and injected with malicious code. Real life example of how dangerous the Internet is... you can't even trust legitimate business sites anymore unless you do some verification before visiting.

Way cool!

Silver Bullet told me that he is quitting smoking starting from today. I think that is way cooler than his new Samsung 40" LCD TV. I'm 200% behind you dude. Keep it up.

Apple struggling

Apple is struggling to cope with the demands of securing their users against malware. So much for the "belief" that Mac OS X is secure out of the box. Myth more like it.

Tennis@Suntec

Evening Tennis session with ML at Suntec. Nice view of the sunset lit sky.

Verify before visiting

Linkscanner has been acquired by AVG. New version is out. Always verify links you receive first before visiting them. Use their online version if you choose not to install another piece of software.

How to get the girl?

Ah... now I know why I have 0 success. I'm doing too many of the things listed as the minority.

Am I eccentric?

I think that my character/personality is too unique that women can't relate to me. Is it normal to feel extremely lonely and sad even though I have very good and caring friends?

Streaks of light

I love this pic. The background is simple but I'm enthralled by the light trails. Exactly the type of images that I like to capture.

Cool pic

I recently stumbled across the site, The Cool Hunter, because it was listed on Fenn's blog. I like the site because of the cool designs featured and all the amazing pictures posted there. I found this particular montage eye catching because of the perception of the surveillance camera seeming to look like a robot holding a weapon. Pretty cool perspective.

Narcissistic?

Everyone is egotistical in one way or another... it just depends on the degree I guess? Personally? I'm not narcissistic about my looks... in fact, I hardly look in the mirror or take pics of myself like some camwhore. I don't even put my pic on Windows Live Messenger and I've gotten comments from people that I'm weird becoz I don't show my face. Duh.
Rather... I get personal pleasure/high from my achievements... like publishing an article, taking an amazing picture (not personal portrait) or successfully exploiting a vulnerability. Different priorities in life I reckon?

Purple patch?

Seems that I'm going through a purple patch since the "incident". I blogged earlier about winning the Today newspaper contest and ML donating her Thinkpad to me. I just received a phone call today from the National Library telling me I won their lucky draw too! Borders book voucher... dun pray pray. Looking forward to receiving a desktop that GC no longer wants.
