Imperfection

Imperfection can be beautiful. I like this picture even though it is blurry.
Focused pics.

E???

I've progressed to the E chord but I have to admit I'm struggling with it. I have problem with my index finger touching the string below it. Doh!!!
I want to learn how to play this song but I think I'm biting off more than I can chew. His fingers are moving along the guitar neck so quickly... its insane!

Touched!!!

CH is a very busy lady but yet she found time out of her full schedule to source for a job for me. My sister is in recruitment but she has never offered to help me find a job. I'm so touched that I almost cried.

Ninite

Want a quick and easy way to install apps on a newly installed OS? Ninite is the solution for you. It allows you to select the apps you want and bundle it into a single custom installer.

Mosaic

Toyed around with this photographic mosaic software, AndreaMosaic. Cool.

Ballet

Watched my first ballet today... "Men in Tutus". It was not bad. My favourite part was a parody of "The Dying Swan". Haha... hilarious. It was a tad too short though.

Panorama

As much as I love Ubuntu... there are activities (eg. Internet banking, photo editing, gaming) that still need to be done on Windows.
Created a few panos in Vista. I hate Vista... can't wait to receive my Windows 7 Professional.

Comfort zone

I have been guilty of being too comfortable and settling instead of being ambitious in the past. I must continue to be positive from this year onwards and visualise my goals in order to achieve them.
Hmmmmm... visualising my new home and GF now. Haha.

Back to the light side?

Google has had their share of bad publicity in recent years. They seem to be heading back to their roots of doing no evil by no longer censoring searches in China and enforcing HTTPS for all Gmail sessions.

Mean D

Thanks to KVW for recommending this site. I now play a mean D chord. Haha!!! My first chord on a guitar... I'm on my way.

Barrage sunset

The weather was nice today. The perfect day to revisit Marina Barrage. Hundreds of others shared the same thought and the barrage was crowded.

Transitioning from day to night.

Stability

I have been an active user of Ubuntu since version 8.10 and been pleased until v9.10. "Karmic Koala" is buggy resulting in me downgrading back to v9.04. I think they faltered when trying to outdo Microsoft's launch of Windows 7.
I'm staying put until 10.04 aka "Lucid Lynx". I have high hopes for it.

Hear hear!!!

"Friends are the brothers and sisters that you choose". I heard this in the Barilla commercial currently airing on TV. I mean I've heard the cliche that "you can't choose your family" and that you should "choose your friends carefully" but this new twist really struck a chord with me. The few close and sincere friends I have are really siblings to me. I'm blessed to have them and am thankful they have stuck with me through thick and thin.

Self portrait

Blogger self portrait in "Cartoon" style.

SAM illuminated reloaded

Took advantage of the free entry to SAM today to enjoy Filipino and Mexican exhibits. Cool helmet art piece representing a famous Filipino race car driver. Column of books that doubles as an interesting optical illusion. Orange exhibit that reminds me of "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers".

My favourite exhibit. Self portrait by the artist, Roberto Montenegro. Amazing how he created the distortion effect on the canvas... as if he had taken a picture of himself using fish eye lens.
A friend of mine commented that my SAM illuminated pictures were blurry. My 2nd attempt at taking the illuminated facade.

Happy New Year!!!

A new year... a fresh start. 2010 will be a good year. I will have a pretty and capable GF, a new job and my own apartment.

Update: I have 2 more goals to add. I will learn the guitar and pass the CISM exam.
