More cool kicks!!!

Besides the Anaconda Air Force I, there were other cool kicks that I saw at Far East. If only I was filthy rich... I would buy them all!!!
I saw this shoe entitled Nike Dunks SB "Mork & Mindy". They're inspired by the TV show of the same name starring Robin Williams. Damn!!! I saw them at the Nike Factory Outlet in Perth retailing for A$100 but they didn't have my size. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh. Far East selling at double that price. Another freaking cool sneaker is the Nike Air Force I "Invisible Woman". No prizes for guessing why it's named as such.

Deaf dog

Woah Woah is deaf. Found out this fact after I realised that he wasn't responsive to my calls or whistles. Poor dog... but then again... we've had him for 14 years already. I guess the only good thing that comes out of this is that he won't be so noisy... barking at neighbours now becoz he can't hear them anymore.

Changed my mind!

I decided to swop Chelsea with Man City from my original prediction after Chelsea thrashed them 6-0. Here's what the standings will look like at the end of the season.
1 - Arsenal
2 - Man U
3 - Chelsea
4 - Blackburn Rovers
5 - Man City

Complacency

I tell you... Fatman Satay (stall 1 at Lau Pa Sat) is getting complacent. Yes... they are famous and their satay shiok.... but they are becoming very slack. They are the only stall at Lau Pa Sat that doesn't sell duck satay and they are also the last stall to open for biz in the evenings. I wanted to patronise them last week but they didn't want my biz so I had satay from stall 2 instead. Mmmmmmm... forget about Fatman Satay. View from the table I was seated at.

Irony

Its ironic that I witnessed lots of beautiful clouds while I was fulfilling my reservist commitments this past week. Why? I was not allowed to bring in my N70 during my ICT so I couldn't take any pics. What a waste becoz there were so many gorgeous clouds during the week. Xian. Anyways... I managed to take this pic with a nice blue hue the week before my ICT.
I think the SAF practices double standards becoz celebs can take pics within SAF premises and blog about their experiences... while NSmen like us who make sacrifices by fulfilling our reservists commitments... are not permitted the same liberty to take pics and put them on our personal blogs.

T-shirts

The T-shirt is the greatest and most creative fashion article ever created. It is simple in design but yet functional. They either advertise brands, display humour, inform others where a wearer has visited or demonstrates a passion for an entity.

I love my T-shirts.

(un)reasonable

Just completed my low key ICT and it left me miffed initially as I was "f**ked" in public by a Master Sergeant for something that he thought I was guilty of committing. I felt embarrassed by this incident because I was innocent and it left a sour taste in my mouth. The Master Sergeant realised his folly but did not apologise at that moment. But I have to give him credit, he was man enough to apologise to me later and shake my hand. Kudos to him.

Bold prediction

Its early in the season but I'm gonna stick my head out and make my prediction on how the EPL season will end.
1 - Arsenal
2 - Man U
3 - Man City
4 - Blackburn Rovers*
5 - Chelsea
What about Liverpool you ask? They will probably finish sixth becoz of Rafa's meddling. We shall see.

* Keeping my fingers crossed that they do not have any injury crisis to affect their form.

Daaaaaaaaaaamn!!!

I love the Hitman so much. I have all four games from the Hitman series. I regret not buying the action figure when I saw it in Singapore. I changed my mind later but it was already sold. Grrrrrrrrrr.

Are they better?

Since I've moved to the east, I've noticed a lot of Ang Moh men with Chinese female partners. They are everywhere. Do Chinese women want to be with them because Ang Mohs are better partners or because those who reside here are rich? Call me cynical but I really want to know the reason.

Raddy

Saw Radojko Avramovic (Singapore National Football Coach) at Giant Supermart, Parkway Parade today. Wanted to walk over to shake his hand and say "job well done" but I was too shy. Hehe.
He has really done wonders for our football since he set foot here. We could not even beat South East Asian teams like Thailand before he arrived but we are not even matching up with Middle Eastern nations. Its all down to his effect on the team.

Humour in ads

This M1 slogan is pretty funnee. I appreciate humour in commercials... that's what makes them entertaining.

In the flesh

I saw the Anaconda Air Force I... the real thing in the flesh today. Freaking cool. Check out the Anaconda skin pattern on the shoes.... far out!!! Check out the price in the pic. Wooooooooo.

Spectrum

Amazing spectrum of colours. Again... beautiful illumination of sunshine on the clouds.

For your benefit

Jos asked me previously about where I got the durian puffs from. Well... I took this pic for her benefit... its rite next to the chicken rice stall.

Vanity

Was taking the train to visit my fren on Hari Raya. There was this Indo teen who kept admiring himself in the train window and his mobile phone. He actually turned on the camera mode to view himself on the mobile screen. Talk about a turn-off. I wanted to tell him that he shouldn't bother checking becoz preening himself won't improve his ugly appearance :p I'm so evil.
Vanity is a sin but I think vanity displayed by ugly people is a graver sin.

Need online file storage?

Microsoft now offers free password-protected online file storage where you can keep files and share them with your friends. Its in beta stage now and it is unfortunately not available to Asia yet.

May the force be with you

Star Wars fans.... your ultimate fantasy is now reality. Your Wii Remote now doubles up as a light sabre. Damn!!! That's a sign for me to get my own Wii.

Hanseatic League

My fren, Jer, works in Hamburg and he brought to my attention the word "Hanseatic". I learn something new everyday.

Security conscious

It is strange that Microsoft Messenger for Mac is more security conscious than its Windows equivalent. What do I mean? The conversation window in Mac has a warning message to remind users to be careful when indulging in IM chats. Today, I was forced to download and install the latest version before I was allowed to login to the MSN network. How's that for security?

Justice is done

Dida is suspended for two games after his recent debacle in AC Milan's last game versus Celtic. I am appeased.

Quote #236

"Looking at cleavage is like looking at the sun. You can't stare at it long, it's too risky. You get a sense of it then you look away."

Bizarre

Was watching an episode of "Bizarre Foods" and I find it bizarre that the host Andrew Zimmern can eat exotic foods like Tarantulas and find them yummy... but yet can't swollen down Durian flesh. Weird!!!

Warning

Microsoft Messenger for Mac provides this warning whenever you open up a conversation window.
"Never give out your password or credit card number in an instant message conversation. To help prevent infection by a computer virus or worm, never accept or open any file or link in an instant message until you verify its authenticity with the sender."
Good advice if you ask me. Wonder why the Windows version doesn't provide the same.

I tried to use Wireshark to capture messages I was sending to my friend via MSN but I couldn't find any clear text messages. Strange. I used Paros instead to proxy MSN traffic... lo and behold!!! I successfully captured clear text messages to my friend. Be careful what you text on Windows Live Messenger my friends. Encrypt your messages if you can.

Punish cheats!!!

Dida fakes a facial injury after initially giving chase to a fan who ran onto the field and tapped him on his shoulder. He was even taken off on a stretcher and replaced by the substitute goalkeeper. Disgraceful!!! The fan was wrong to run onto the field in the first place but Dida should be heavily punished and made an example of for his play acting. I hate athletes who do that. Even if FIFA does not do something about it... I think Milan should fine him.

On the topic of Italian Football and ethics, the Vatican has bought over AC Ancona... a team in their third division. The Vatican aims to introduce an ethical code that:
  • Punishes their players for any foul play
  • Forbids fans from taunting and insulting the opposition
  • Disallows offensive banners and flags in the stadium

Video chat exploit

My fren's laptop keeps crashing and rebooting when her fren initiates a video call with her. She's using the latest version of Windows Live Messenger. I'm guessing that her laptop doesn't handle the video call invite properly and crashes the whole system. My advise to her? Get her fren to upgrade her messenger or dun bother doing video chats.
