Why does my heart feel so bad?

I've been crying non-stop since I got back. People have labelled me as mad but I love her so much that it kills me even though its been months.

Somali pirates

First saw this picture in an article about Somali pirates. It was taken by Veronique de Viguerie. Even though it captures insidious characters but the whole composition is enthralling and beautiful.

You think you know someone...

then they do something that hurts you. I'm a forgiving person but it just breaks my heart.

United breaks guitars

Funnee song. The song title is literal. Check it out. Talk about a new vehicle for complaining.

Sure or not?

The Queensland Police fraud squad plans to patrol neighbourhoods attempting wardriving audits to find insecure wireless networks and warn residents to secure them. Wonder how long this effort will last?

Isolation

I sometimes wonder if the world would be better off if I shut myself in isolation somewhere in Tibet. At least I can't hurt anyone whilst I'm isolated and no one can hurt me either.

Adult

It is fascinating how that as we get older, no one bats an eye when the topic takes a sudden turn to a conversation of an adult nature. Guess its a case of "been there, done that"... no big deal?

Decisions...

In life, you are constantly forced to make decisions. When you come to a conclusion, you sometimes inevitably hurt someone you care for. There is a saying that "you can't please everyone" but the problem with me is that it affects me emotionally when my loved ones or close friends are upset as a result of a decision I made. I find it difficult to suppress my emotions and it affects me severely.
Its not in my nature to hurt anyone. I don't wish to make excuses for myself and I take full responsibility for my actions.

Sinful

I love chocolate... so I couldn't resist trying "The Chocolate Lake" from "New York New York". Yummy!!! Check out the chocolate swirls. Mmmmmm.

I'm broken

After what she did to me, she hurt me so deep. She was everything to me but she took it all away suddenly. I can't even bear to see her name in my IM contact list, look at photographs of her or hear her name mentioned. I feel like she ripped my heart out of my chest, hammered it with a meat tenderizer, threw it on the floor and stomped all over it. I've never cried so much in my whole life. I'm afraid that I will never be the same again. I don't know if I can love or trust another woman. Not even sure what I'm doing with my life now.

Collection

I'm thinking of starting a Star Wars T-shirt collection. Anyone going overseas? Haha... I'm not sure I can restrict myself to only Star Wars.

Here I am surprised by ML taking a candid pic of me in my GI Joe T.

Time traveling

I've always been fascinated by time travel. That is the reason I love books and movies that have that theme. Books such as "The Time Machine" and "Timeline". Movies like the "Back to the future" trilogy and "Time Cop".
I'm keen to watch "The Time Traveler's Wife". I may consider reading the book while waiting for the movie to screen.

October

October is going to be an interesting month. Windows 7 will start retailing on the 22nd and Ubuntu 9.10 aka "Karmic Koala" is slated for release on the 29th. I'm definitely ordering my free copy of "Karmic Koala" to upgrade my machines.

Fanboys

Watched the rental DVD of the above title and loved it. Its about a bunch of diehard Star Wars fanatics who travel across the US to break into Skywalker Ranch in an attempt to sneak a peek of Star Wars Episode I before it is screened in cinemas. They are true to themselves and I realised that I should be true to myself too. I am going out to get myself a cool Star Wars T-shirt and while I'm at it... I'm going to buy an illuminated Transformers T-shirt too.
Oh btw... Kristen Bell is totally hot. I'm in love with her.

Bittersweet

I'm officially unemployed as of today. It is coincidently my 7th year anniversary with HER. I currently have mixed emotions.

Google OS?

Google is planning to release a lightweight version of their own Linux distribution called Chrome OS. Another Linux distribution? There's too many if you ask me. Can you imagine them placing ads within your OS? That would be irritating. I'm sticking with Ubuntu. "Karmic Koala" coming in October 2009.

MacCinema?

Fake Mac OS X software used to con victims into injecting malware onto their systems. Only install reputable software from reliable sources.

Raffles by night

Satay at Lau Pa Sat. Mmmmm... Duck Satay.

"The Sail" @ Marina Bay.

Junction at the Ascott. I need to get a pro tripod because I can't get my pics "tack sharp" sometimes.

The uncompleted "Banana" building.

The Singapore skyline.

Crying

Dreamt about her this morning and I started sobbing again. Still feeling depressed. She is so heartless.

Customising IE search

M$ has its own search engine set as the default in IE8... naturally. I usually change it to Google but I decided to customise it to Cuil* for fun. Cuil is not in M$'s list of add on engines but the image explains how to add your own favourite engine.

* Irish search engine.

Windows 7

Installed Windows 7 RC (Release Candidate). I have to admit that Windows is getting slicker and slicker. Its all about ease of use and packaging to capture the masses. Amongst the commercial OSs, I choose Microsoft. Vista was a major blooper but Windows 7 is promising so far.

Firefox private browsing

Firefox finally implements private browsing into v3.5. Competing browsers like Safari and Chrome already had this feature in their earlier versions.
Better late than never I guess.

More Apple nonsense

iPhones overheating. iPhone also vulnerable to remote code execution. *yawn* What's new? Apple is crap.

Heartbreak

Bought Hoobastank's new album "For(n)ever". Its an album filled with heartbreak anthems like "I don't think that I love you" as well as "So close, so far"... and struck a cord with me because of how I'm currently feeling.
Its strangely comforting listening to the lyrics about pain.

Trusted?

We often take things for granted including the ATM machine. Do you trust the ATM to be secure? Don't bet on it. Nothing is 100% impenetrable... there is always a loophole waiting to be discovered and exploited.

I won again

Attended a vendor seminar today. Won 4th prize in their lucky draw contest. A bottle of Moet champagne. Who wants it??? Let me know.

The Lost Symbol

Dan Brown's newly anticipated book will be out on 15th Sept 2009. I saw the promotional poster at Border's yesterday and decided to pre-order the book. I'm a Dan Brown fan but what enticed me to place a deposit was the free booklight. Haha!!!
