"Magic Wok" takes its food very seriously. Serving "Pineapple Fried Rice" in a Pineapple when you eat in... makes sense but packing your takeaway fried rice literally in a pineapple? Out of this world.
My mum was telling me that her filthy rich Tai Tai friend just won S$10,000 cash from a supermarket lucky draw. She is always striking lottery or winning some lucky draw even though she is already loaded. Why do the rich get richer? Luck, fate, karma? I have no bloody idea. Think I should focus on the fact that I have food to eat and a roof on my head. *takes a deep breath*
It's been a strange December this year. Usually it's pouring this time of year but it's been a relatively dry one. Guess everything balances out because it was wet throughout the year. Lots of white balls. Hmmmm. What the heck are they for??? Underneath the Esplanade Bridge. Fullerton skylight. Reindeers. Our "beloved" ERP. CBD. Fullerton facade. Heartlands. Skyline at night. Illuminated shophouses. Eu Tong Sen street by night. My attempt at replicating someone else's pic. I NEED to get fisheye lenses. New batch of panos.
you get monkeys. Article comparing pay of local pre-school teachers against the pay of European cleaners. Not exactly comparing apples against apples but the morale of the story is that you pay for what you get. If teachers ain't getting compensated adequately, what quality of education will your kids receive?
People... you have been warned before... but I still get people on my IM contact list getting hit with malware and subsequently broadcasting malicious links. Do not click on links promiscuously.
A new IE vulnerability is being exploited in the wild. Hackers are apparently loading malware onto both legitimate and porn sites to compromise their victims' machines. M$ is working on a critical patch and will make it available as an out-of-band release. Might to time to use an alternative browser. Take your pick from Firefox, Chrome or Opera. I only keep IE because M$ makes it mandatory as a vehicle to patch my OS.
I've been test driving Ubuntu the past few days. I have to say I'm extremely impressed with its appearance and performance. If it were not for PC games, I would convert all my desktops and laptops to Ubuntu in a flash. You want to surf, chat, play music or burn discs? Ubuntu has it all... you can even manage your iPod. And? It's free!!!
Was trying to get a CD-RW today. Went to Harvey Norman's, Best Denki, Challenger and Giant Supermarket. Only Harvey's sold individual Sony CD-RWs. The other places either sold bundled CD-RWs or didn't sell them at all.
I broke my principle and I feel depressed but I had no choice. Are CD-RWs extinct? The profit margin must be really low. But seriously, how many people need to burn Gigs of data onto DVD-RWs?
With Fenn's permission, I cropped her original pic. I like this pic a lot because of the vibrant lights from the shophouses and moving cars. It makes Chinatown seem alive with energy.

Firefox records the most number of vulnerabilities this year amongst popular apps. I'm not surprised by Adobe Acrobat being in the list at second but I'm surprised at Firefox topping the list. It is commonly perceived to be more secure than Internet Explorer. Is it a victim of its own marketing success? Hmmmm... I may opt to switch over to Google Chrome since it is now out of its beta status. Only time will tell. Btw... Ccleaner now supports Chrome too.
Waiting for the bus to town. It was one of those days where it would rain and stop then rain again. In town. Headed to Fort Canning Green for the Ben & Jerry Chunk Fest. Was expecting free ice cream but it ended up to be a muddy affair with visitors forming long queues to pay for the ice cream on offer. What a letdown. Headed to the comfort of the National Museum instead. Passed by Cathay while making my way home. This week's pano collection. Only one portrait pano this round.
