Xuexiang day 1

It was a long and arduous journey by train and minibus to Xuexiang. The name literally means "Snow Town". Starving blogger eagerly waiting for lunch to be served. Lunch being prepared by the chef. I'm not a fan of Northern Chinese cuisine... but when you're hungry... you're hungry. A glimpse of what type of bed we will be sleeping in.

As the town's name suggests, there is snow everywhere.

Oriental snowman. They seem to like corn a lot. Check out the natives' rides. Red lanterns adorning the facade of shophouses. Food on display. Surroundings. Horses.

Local collecting wood. Restaurants. Firewood. Bridge.

Mini snowman. Snow angel. Shacks. More corn hanging along with mushrooms and chili.

Frozen river.

Open for business offering goodies like sugar glazed plums and frozen fruits. Friendly hunter. Borrowing his headgear. He claimed to have hunted those foxes personally and turned them into those hats.

Icicles. Bridge atop frozen river. Another form of skiing. Lone woman walking down the river.

Night in Xuexiang. Was hoping to see other tourists playing with fireworks but no one did.
