"Ethical" hacking???

The Home Office in the UK awarded police and MI5 authority to hack into citizens' personal computers without warrants. Hacks on citizens will include planting hardware keyloggers by breaking into private property, using social engineering to trick targets into installing malware and monitoring web activity (such sites visited, emails and Instant Messages).
Privacy? Screw you the British government says. This is the perfect example I've been looking for to explain to my friends why you need to secure your PCs and encrypt all your communication. Need help? Let me know.
