Trans-Cool Tokyo

Headed over to 8Q with my friend, GK, to check out the Jap contemporary art exhibition. I was enthralled by the stuffed deer and the beads covering it. The artist procured all the materials from online auction sites.
Visual display generated by data. I like the display that resembled the "Millennium Falcon" jumping into hyperspace.
The pop art section. My fav of this section is definitely the piece entitled "Flower".
The technology section. A hoverboard inspired by the movie "Back to the Future". GK admiring a photograph. Her hair swirling when she turned around. Dance booth??? Video still of a Jap guy dancing in the booth. Check out the disco ball, headphones and iPod. The "dancefloor".
Landscape-related art. This exhibit is formed by petals to resemble the view from the artist's studio facing a lake. This piece is meant to demonstrate the mirror image of the landscape reflecting off the lake surface.
Over to SAM. Landscape painting. Blank canvases leaving the paintings to the imagination. Sculpture of a crushed ball of paper reminding me of the iPhone game "Paper toss". Totally unrelated... the cargo lift in SAM.
Yes... it's that time of the year again, Christmas!!!
