April and I played golf with her Uncle and Auntie. It was only my second time playing on a golf course. It was quite fun... too bad I didn't manage a single par. We actually had to take a ferry to and from the golf course.

Billboards
Don't know about you but I love billboards. They are however bad for the environment becoz they consume additional resources and there are those who consider them an eyesore. Me? I think they are fine if they are tastefully done but there's not much that can be done about the electricity consumption though.

Scenes from HK
Spent my CNY with April in HK. I really enjoyed my time there together with her.
View from a coffee shop, Cigar bar, smog filled sky, condominiums, airplane taking off, cloudy sky, hills, cable cars, Yuen Long town, Colonial building, melted traffic light, illuminated building, more illuminated buildings, BOC building, lamp and sunset view from the HK airport.

Boycott
This DRM business is getting out of hand. I am pleading for all my friends to boycott companies that snoop on you. It was just recently discovered that Skype looks into your BIOS and records your motherboard serial number. WTF do they need with your serial number? Its none of their bloody business. Haven't these conglomerates learnt their lesson from Sony? I have a long list of companies that I boycott by not installing their software or buying their products. That list definitely include Skype, Sony and Yahoo. Yahoo is one of the worst culprits because of their Yahoo Messenger. It includes tons of crap that you don't need on your PC and they make it almost impossible to remove. Stay away.

Disorganised
The guys and I played at Purmei today. We were challenged by a bunch of kids to play a full-court game. We won but only because we had a height and size advantage over them. We were very disorganised to be frank and failed to play an organised half-court game by bringing the ball slowly up court. We kept playing a fast break game and not using our brains. We were totally knackered as a result of that.
I have to raise my hand and admit I was one of those at fault. When will we ever wake up and play in an organised way guys? We still haven't learnt our lesson.
Sports isn't just a game or exercise. It is more than that. You can tell a lot about a person through team sports. You can determine if a person is a team player, selfish, intelligent, arrogant, mature, irritating, etc.

Code Red
Code Red was a worm that attacked IIS webservers to devastating effect in 2001. I knew this... what I didn't know was that it was named in reference to the Mountain Dew soft drink. A team of eEye researchers named the worm after the cherry Mountain Dew soft drink of the same name that they were downing while they picked apart the worm.
Interesting.
Interesting.
Creativity
Its amazing how much more creative the current NBA players are when competing in the annual All-Star Slam Dunk Contest. I remember watching players like Jordan dunking in the 80s contests and go "WOW". Reviewing those contests again made me realise how the past players pale in comparison with the players now.
Miss Porter
Never read any Peter Rabbit books before so I knew nothing about Peter and Miss Porter, the author. The movie is great and I highly recommend it even though certain parts of the story was pretty predictable.

Creative accounting
Extracted from Wiki on Steve Jobs.
"Jobs worked at Apple for several years with an annual salary of US$1, and this earned him a listing in Guinness World Records as the "Lowest Paid Chief Executive Officer". At the 2000 keynote speech of Macworld Expo in San Francisco, the company dropped the "interim" from his title, making him permanent CEO of Apple. His current salary at Apple officially remains US$1 per year, although he has traditionally been the recipient of a number of lucrative "executive gifts" from the board, including a US$46 million jet in 1999 and just under 30 million shares of restricted stock in 2000-2002. As such, Jobs is well compensated for his efforts at Apple despite the nominal one-dollar salary. This approach reduces his personal tax liability because, under current U.S. tax law, salary income is taxed at a significantly higher rate (currently up to 35%) than the capital gains tax (currently a maximum of 15%) applied to profits arising from the sale of stock grants. Obtaining remuneration through stock instead of salary is a common tax minimization strategy for many upper-echelon U.S. executives."

Land of signs
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew
Still on the ASEAN Football Championship. Hafiz Osman* has a superstition. All footballers have superstitions you say? Well Hafiz's is "unique", he wore the same underwear throughout the tournament and didn't wash it. Bleh! How did he keep it "fresh"? He aired it after each match ;p Pity his room mate.

We are the champions again!
We are the champions my frieeeeeeeeeeeeends... coz we'll go on fighting till the eeeeeeeeeeeennd... we are the liiiiiiiiiions... we are the liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiions.
All hail Raddy Avramovic. He is the reason for our success and he has two crowns to his name. The Football Association of Singapore should reward him and give him everything that he asks for including sending the Lions for high profile tournaments to help the team improve.
In the past, our Lions would just fall apart when the chips are down but they showed their resilience several times throughout this tournament. They've done us proud. Goooooooooooooooo Lions!
Noh Alam Shah... what can I say? He's my idol man. My type of striker... strong in the air, can strike the ball with either foot, pressures defenders and a never-say-die attitude.

Time after time
"Lying in my bed I hear the clock tick... and think of you..."
Was watching "My name is Earl" and learnt that Earl's brother, Randy, plays "Time after time" by Cyndi Lauper every time he gets his heart broken. Man... love that song!!! Been awhile since I heard it and I've been playing it since watching that episode.

Dream interpretation
Always wanted to know what your dreams mean? Came across this website from watching Channel NewsAsia this morning.
I used to have a lot of dreams of falling when I was young. The website aptly confirms that they were due to my insecurities and inferiority complex when I was growing up.
