Ransomware is the latest "flavour of the week" when it comes to security threats. The first of its kind made an appearance in March 2006. More on security... friends using Symantec AV on their home PCs... quickly patch it becoz it leaves your PC vulnerable to exploit.
Firefox is my "weapon" of choice when it comes to surfing but just like IE... it also needs to be patched. Mozilla has just released a new update (v1.5.0.4) that addresses several security flaws.
