Take the necessary precautions to protect yourself against being blackmailed! I have frens frequently telling me they dun bother with securing their home PCs becoz they are not targets for hackers. Well here is proof that you are wrong... that attitude is precisely what makes you easy targets. Imagine... they hold you ransom for $10.99... that may not seem much but if they manage to infect 1000 PCs, that's $10,990!!! Easy pickings.
