Beijing day 4

Open air bike "shop". Statue of kids playing. Bao and spicy Sparrow for breakfast.

Barber shop along a Hutong. Red entrances... a common site in many Hutongs. Green chilli peppers for sale. Punk dog. Lalang growing on roofs. Locals playing chess. A bevy of rickshaws at the Xicheng district. Government compound. Song Qingling's former residence. Bust of Song Qingling. One of many restored residences now under private ownership. Our rickshaw puller. Lakes in the Xicheng district. Commercialised section of the Xicheng district. April enjoying her rickshaw ride whilst drinking cool Milk Tea. MTR brand of Milk Tea. Tour of a private residence. Portraits on sale.

Dashanzi Art District... popularly known as "The 798 Factory" for obvious reasons. Art on display. Lung art piece made up of spent cigarettes. Reminders of the district's industrial past.

Commercial building. McDonald's meal... made entirely out of local produce. The French Fries are not nice because they are made of Chinese potatoes instead of Russet Burbanks.
